LYMAN — Rex Ervin Chandler, 84, died Oct. 4, in Evanston.
He was born on March 6, 1933, to George Ervin and Jennie (Crossley) Chandler.
On Oct. 29, 1955, he married Arlene Dolores ARambula in Las Vegas, Nev.
Rex served his country in the Marine Corp during the Korean War. He was a member of the LDS church and the United Steel Workers 15320. He served his community as a reserve police officer for the town of Lyman. Above all, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene; sons: Bruce (Tami) Chandler, Lyman; and Randy (Tracy) Chandler, Evanston; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Wayne; his parents and a sister, Myrna Drolc.
Funeral service will be Monday, Oct. 9, at 1 p.m., in the Lyman L.D.S. Ward Chapel.
Viewing will be Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Monday one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Interment with military honors will follow at the Lyman Cemetery.
