Kenneth Huseman Roberts, 59, lost his 12 year battle to cancer (Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma (ACC)) on June 26, 2024 in San Diego, Calif. He was born March 23, 1963, in Laramie, Wyo., to Norman E. “Skip” and Lois Huseman Roberts.

Kenneth grew up in Laramie participating in Cub and Boy Scouting, Laramie Swim Club, 4-H, sports, BMX bicycle racing, LHS Ski Team. He had newspaper routes from age 9, worked at Laramie Trap Club, mowed lawns, shoveled snow, repaired and serviced bikes for Laramie Schwinn Cyclery. He spent time ranching with his grandparents at Lonetree, Wyo., working with animals, haying, operating and repairing machinery.

He graduated from Laramie High School in 1983 and the University of WYO in 1988 in Mechanical Engineering and was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity while working at Northern Gas Co.; and Bell Enterprises, delivering ice and beverages. After college, he was employed by Genera Dynamics in San Diego, Calif., and Raytheon Corp. in Tucson, Ariz.; before returning to San Diego to work for QualCom Inc. the rest of his career.

Kenneth married Sharon Joy Stanowicz, Apri 13, 2002, I San Diego , and they had four daughters: Cheyenne, Makena, Vivian and Violet. Ken was a loving husband, dad and foundation of their family, provider for all things loving and good.

He was preceded in death by his father, Norman E. “Skip” Roberts; his grandparents, A.W. “Bud” and Lyda Huseman, and Ernest M. “Lefty” and Lucy Roberts.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon, and four daughters: Cheyenne, Makena, Vivian and Violet; his mother, Lois H. Roberts; brothers: Keith (Jan); nieces Isabel and Olivia; Kurt, nieces Madeleine and Natalie; Aunt Nancy and Uncle John Dorman; in-laws: Dr. Steven F. and Joy Stanowicz; Steven Stanowicz: children: Matt (Kelly) Mastro Jacob, Makena, Kayla; Tyer Coulthard, Caitlyn and Lauren Stanowicz; Stahsha Stanowicz; Scott (Kristine) Stanowicz, nephews: Elliot and Jack Stanowicz; Sarah Stanowicz (Dan) DeBottis, niece Brooklyn DeBottis.

The Celebration of Life Memorial for Ken will be held Aug. 19, 2024, at 11 a.m. at St. Terese of Carmel Catholic Church, 4355 Del Mar Trails Rd., San Diego, Calif. 92130, with a reception following at Knotty Barrel (Rancho Penasquitos), Calif.
