RAWLINS — The varsity volleyball teams from Lyman and Mountain View participated in the Rawlins Invitation last Friday and Saturday.
They were two of the 16 teams to battle on the court for the top slot. The other teams included host school Rawlins, Burns, Wheatland, Torrington, Newcastle, Douglas, Buffalo, Thermopolis, Powell, Lovell, Worland, Lander, Pinedale and Big Piney.
LHS head coach Brecia Hansen was extremely pleased with the Lady Eagles play in Rawlins last week as they who claimed the championship of the Invitational last week.
“Three tournaments and three championships,” Hansen exclaimed. “Our JV did as well, which I don't think happens very often. It was a fun weekend.”
As for the Lady Buffs of Mountain View, head coach Diana Tims is also pleased with the play on the court as the Lady Buffs “made it to the gold bracket,” Tims said. “We played without our libero on Saturday morning, because she was signed up to take the ACT test, so that definitely affected the results of our weekend.”
