CASPER — The Wyoming Coaches Association named the the ‘Best-of-the-Best,” or the track and field athletes who earned All State status following the state meet last weekend in Casper.
Although the WCA released the names of the athletes, they also released a disclaimer by saying there is no voting for those who earned these honors. To be an All State athlete in track and field, the honor goes to the top two in each individual event and the winning relay team.
Bridger Valley athletes were well-represented in the All State athletes. In the boys division, of the 28 named, the Valley claimed eight, one from LHS and seven from MVHS. They were: Joseph Turner, Lyman: Travis Harmon, Briggin Bluemel, Ashton Schofield, Tanner Collins, Kimball Madsen, Connor Micheli and Mason Ozuna, all of Mountain View.
In the girls division, 29 athletes were named. The Valley claimed five of the athletes named, one from LHS and four from MVHS. They included: McKinley Bradshaw, Lyman; Haylee Hereford, Lyndee Hereford, Kenzy Kellum and Jaynee Hunt, all of MVHS.
