Uinta County School District #4, Mountain View, will hold its annual Constituency Participation Meeting on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, to gather feedback prior to the completion of the Consolidated Grant Application for the 2024-2025 school year. The purpose of the meeting is to seek input from parents, community members, and staff in order to establish goals for grant expenditures. The meeting is scheduled for 3:30 PM in the cafeteria at the K-8 School, 3100 County Road 241.

GRANT FUND AVAILABILITY

The Uinta County Human Services Board announces the availability of flow-through grant funds totaling approximately $231,000. Grant applications are being accepted from non-profit, human services organizations operating in Uinta County. Agencies submitting applications must have a Board of Directors, license to operate, established fiduciary accountability and 501-C3, Non-Profit status. Services qualifying for grant monies include, but are not limited to, elderly care; youth services; child care; mental health treatment; substance abuse; alcohol abuse; domestic violence intervention and indigent assistance. Deadline for submission of grant applications is 5:00 p.m., FRIDAY, May 15, 2024. ORDINANCE NO. 2024-01

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE DAY OF REGULAR TOWN COUNCIL MEETINGS

WHEREAS, the Town has set, by Ordinance, the date and time of the regular Town Council Meeting; and

WHEREAS, it is recommended that the date of the regular meeting be modified.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE TOWN OF LYMAN, UINTA COUNTY, WYOMING THAT THE TOWN CODE SHOULD BE MODIFIED IN THE FOLLOWING WAY: 

1-7-1: REGULAR MEETINGS:

The town council shall hold regular meetings on the first and third Mondays of each month at six o’clock (6:00) P.M. When the day of the regular meeting falls on a legal holiday, such meeting shall be held on a date determined by the governing body. All regular meetings shall be held at the Lyman Town Hall or at such other public place as the governing body may designate.

TOWN COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES

April 2, 2024 at 7:00 PM

Mayor, Bryan Ayres led the Pledge of Allegiance.

The April 2, 2024 Mountain View Town Council meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Mayor Bryan Ayres. Those present were, council members, Jamy Ferrin, Jenny Harvey, Tori Carter and Kelly Bonner, Clerk Treasurer, Penny Robbins, Public Works Director, Jacob Porter, Police Officer Mark Erramouspe, and Attorney, Brandon Taylor.

Motion by Tori Carter, second by Jenny Harvey to approve the agenda with the addition of administering the Oath of Office to Sheriff, Andy Kopp after authorization of the mayor signing the MOU on line #7 and authorizing the town clerk to issue a check once the bid has been awarded on line #8, motion carried.

Motion by Jamy Ferrin, second by Tori Carter to approve the March 19, 2024 meeting minutes; motion car-ried.

Motion by Jamy Ferrin, second by Kelly Bonner to recess into public hearing to hear public comment on liquor license renewals and restaurant license renewal for Fiesta Guadalajara at 7:02 pm, motion carried.

Mayor Ayres confirmed there was a representative from each of the establishments. There being no com-ments from the public, motion by Tori Carter, second by Jenny Harvey to reconvene the regular meeting at 7:03 pm, motion carried.

Motion by Kelly Bonner, second by Jamy Ferrin to approve liquor license renewals for Cowboy Bar, Badlands Saloon, F&M Liquor and Fiesta Guadalajara, motion carried.

Motion by Jamy Ferrin, second by Kelly Bonner to authorize Mayor, Bryan Ayres to sign MOU with Uinta County Sheriff’s department and administer Oath of Office to Sheriff Andy Kopp, motion carried.

Motion by Kelly Bonner, second by Tori Carter to accept the truck bid from Fremont Motors in Lander, Wyoming in the amount of $55,850.92 and authorizes the Town Clerk to issue a check for payment, motion carries.

Mayor Bryan Ayres read a proclamation proclaiming April as Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention month that children are our future and no child should suffer abuse and neglect.

Motion by Tori Carter, second by Jamy Ferrin to approve Jacob Porter as the voting delegate for the Town of Mountain View at the Wyoming Association of Rural Water Systems annual business meeting, motion carried.
