The Uinta County School District #4 will accept sealed proposals, for the High School and K-8 Slurry Seal Project, 2024, subject to the conditions contained in the General Provisions, Special Provisions and Specifications until February 27, 2024 at 10:45 A.M., at Uinta County School District No.4 Central Office, 129 West Second Street, Mountain View, Wyoming 82939. Then bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Proposals shall include furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for performing the work. Proposals will be received for the work as set forth in the bid package.

This project shall consist of crack sealing and slurry seal of the parking lots for the Uinta County School District Number 4 High School and K-8 Schools.  Work shall consist of preparation of the parking lots, removal of existing crack sealing, placement of new crack sealing material, placing slurry seal on finish parking lot, and striping the finish parking lots.

This project shall consist of removing and replacing the playground area from the K-8 school for the Uinta County School District Number 4. Work shall consist of removing the existing asphalt, playground features, and basketball hoops. Preparation of the subbase and base, pouring new concrete slab along the school building, paving the playground area, replacing the basketball hoops, replacing the tetherball posts, and striping the basketball court, four squares, hopscotch, and tetherball area.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

Notice is hereby given that Board of Trustees of Uinta County School District #6, 126 North Franklin, Lyman, Wyoming will receive sealed Bid Proposals on or before 1:00 p.m.,Thursday, February 29, 2024, to remove and replace existing flooring in the Urie Elementary School according to product specifications included in the bid package. The full scope of work will be included in the bid package. Work may begin on May 28, 2024 and must be completed by July 18, 2024.

Proposals shall be submitted in accordance with the Contract Drawings, Specifications, and other Contract Documents as prepared by Uinta County School District #6.

A mandatory job walk will be held at the Urie Elementary School, 1707 Powers Avenue, on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.

Each proposal shall be accompanied by a Certified or Cashier’s Check or Bid Bond for not less than five (5%) of the bid amount, made payable to the Uinta County School District #6. If a certified or cashier’s check is used in lieu of a bid bond, execution of a 100% Performance and 100% Payment Bond must accompany the bid. The Bid Bond or the Cashier’s Check shall be forfeited in the event the successful bidder fails or refuses to enter into the Contract or to furnish the required Performance and Payment Bonds.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Faithful Performance Bond and a Materials Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price.

The school district reserves the right to accept any, or to reject any or all Proposals, or waive any informality in a Proposal.

Mayor, Bryan Ayres led the Pledge of Allegiance.

The January 10, 2023 Mountain View Town Council meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Mayor Bryan Ayres. Those present were, council members, Jamy Ferrin, Tori Carter and Kelly Bonner, Clerk Treasurer, Penny Robbins, Police Officer Mark Erramouspe, and Attorney, Brandon Taylor via Zoom.

Mayor Bryan Ayres presented a check to From the Heart Ministries Food Bank, Bridger Valley Interdenominational Food Bank and Bridger Valley Baptist Food Bank each in the amount of $1756.00. This was money raised during the towns 50th Birthday party in August from the Beer Festival and Music Bingo, there was also a raffle that raised money. Winners of the raffle prizes were announced at the Birthday party/Tree Lighting on November 20, 2024. Mountain View’s actual birthday of incorporation is November 20, 1974. Mayor Ayres and Council thanked the food banks for the wonderful work they do.
